Originally formulated as a gentle facial soap for more mature skin, skin which might not have appreciated Black Magic facial soap, Pink Slip was built on a different base and with different Essential Oils, for different needs. Then I tried it as a shaving soap and it was all over, heh. This stuff is AWESOME for shaving with.

Starting with an already-great vegan-friendly soap base, I added French pink clay, vitamin E, Chamomile, and a cheery blend of essential oils- Geranium Bourbon, Lemon, Peru Balsam, Frankincense, Lavener, Ylang Ylang, and Bergamot. The scent is not overpowering, and while as a perfume it might be more of a woman's scent, as a soap it's completely unisex.

The trick to getting the best performance out of this soap is a nylon bath pouf. You know the ones I'm talking about, I think we all have one in our showers, or have at some point. I've used my usual bristle brush, and washcloths, and even just my hands, all of which worked okay to varying degrees, but to really make the best lather, the bath pouf is superior. A rich, thick, pink (hence the name) and long-lasting lather comes out of those things when used with this soap that'll put any commercial shaving foam to shame.

You get one 4oz square-shaped bar- it should last a good couple of months if kept out of the water when not being used. A soap dish/tray with excellent drainage is imperative, or else this soap will melt into nothing in no time.

Not as salty as a full-salt salt bar, salty soap is a kinder, gentler version of a showertime classic. Swirls of salt play amidst a lush shea butter-enhanced coconut milk soap, making for a one-of-a-kind shower (or bath) experience. This soap is made with beer, because tequila would have been too much of a pain in the neck to use ;) Specifically, for my fellow beer nerds, I used Brooklyn Brewing's Summer Ale for this batch.

This beer soap was made with Widmer Brothers' Seasonal Ale, and contains skin-loving grape seed and rice bran oils, along with a high percentage of olive oil for a gentle clean. A dollop of coconut milk rounds things out and lends to a smooth creamy lather.

Scented with Ginger Ale fragrance, this is a stock favorite at OHWTO and it performs so so nicely in soap. If you like the scent in perfumes or snake oil, you're going to LOVE it in bar soap.
